London Birthday

My plans for yesterday were to study for finals.  All day.  But apparently that is not proper birthday behavior so I was told to get out and do something.  I didn't really mind too much though because I spent more time on my makeup than usual and I straightened my hair.  Basically, I looked amazing.

So I studied all morning and then I did the whole British Museum.  Maybe not the best move.  I highly recommend doing it in two, three, or four days.  Not one.  In some ways it was kind of like seeing the whole world in one day though.  It was fun to do but I was so tired afterwards.  It took three and a half hours and I was going through really quickly.

By the way, I looked totally hot.

After I was done there, I walked over to Covent Garden to see the giant easter eggs.  They've been hidden around London and I've seen a lot of them but they were all there so I thought I'd go see them.  I also watched a magician but I have to say that I think I'm better than he was.  Still, it was entertaining.

I went home and did more studying until 6:00ish and we went down the street for dinner.  It was so good!  Then at the end, because who doesn't love public humiliation, they told the waiter it was my birthday.  He brought me some gelato... and gave me a kiss on the cheek.  To be honest, I'm quite a bit of a germ freak. There are a lot of things I won't do because it involves germs.  So everyone else was laughing (or super jealous... not every day you get kissed by a "hot Italian", right?) and I was trying to resist the urge to wipe it off.  I turned red as a lobster and just laughed.  Yikes.  Several people said they were jealous.  One girl pointed out that I'm the only girl here to get kissed in the last three months.

Lucky me.

I went back home and did more studying.  Yay!

Really, though, it would have been a cool birthday no matter what happened.  For over ten years if I could have had anything for my birthday, it would have been to visit England.  I got what I always wanted.
