Order In The Court

Today for an assignment I went to see Old Bailey.  It's London's criminal court that still wears old fashioned robes and wigs.  It was a little intimidating because you're not allowed to bring anything with you--no bags, no cameras, no electronics, nothing--and you have to go through a bunch of security.  Once I was there, though, I saw a couple of other girls so I didn't have to go in all by myself.

We went in and at first they were going to put us in a murder trial.  They very seriously warned us to be very careful because there were gang members in there and they would hurt us if we offended them in any way.  Yikes.  So apparently we looked scared because they decided to put us in a rape trial.  But that one took too long so they put us in a fraud case.  The most BORING thing I've ever been to.  Except for the judge glaring at us, it was very hard to sit through.

And now it is hailing.  Nope, just pouring.  Good.  There hasn't been enough exciting weather 'round these parts.  Too much sun.
