London Bridge Already Fell Down. I Didn't Knock it Over!

Two days ago was Saturday.  That seems really obvious, but Saturdays here are... special.  They are special because most of them are free (with a few suggestions sometimes) for us to do whatever we want.  Within reason.

Dr. N suggested that we go to Borough Market and then do one of our walks, this one the south of the Thames specifically.  I didn't want to go very many places (my ankles are doing a LOT better but I have a lot of stuff to do next week and didn't want to mess them up) but I really wanted to go to an international ice skating festival that I had been excited about for weeks. Most people said they were going to do the market, the walks, and then the festival so I just walked out the door and followed a big group of people.  That's what I do.  Follow, kind of like that annoying sibling that hangs out with the older ones and the older ones aren't always to happy about it.  I really hope that changes soon.  Sigh.  Anyways.  We all hopped on the Tube (we do that a lot) and headed up to the Tower Bridge.  I'm getting familiar with this Tube stop because we've been here several times in the last week on our way to somewhere.  We walked across the Tower Bridge, saw many other bridges including the new London Bridge (the old one is in Arizona)We also saw the Millennium Bridge that is in Harry Potter.  At the market there was food and smells everywhere.  There were also dead squid and ducks all over.  We finished our walk and saw a really neat cathedral (there was a cat there!), the prison called the Clink which gave name to prisons forevermore, and the new Globe theatre.  By that time people were too tired to go to the ice sculpture festival so they just went to Portobello Road and I headed home on my own.  I got lost again and two lovely British ladies helped me find my way to Hyde Park.  From there I was able to find the Centre easily.  I need to stop getting lost.  Then I finally got to Skype with my family and then watched a movie with Dr. N's kids.

I was moved wards so yesterday I went to the new one with the two other girls who were reassigned to it.  Everyone was so friendly and excited to meet us.  After church we got our callings.  I am the new Mia Maid leader.

I know it's not much. I think I've lost my enthusiasm a little.  I'm told it's normal and it would be weird if I didn't a little.  Culture shock and whatnot.  Cheers.
