Ode To The Circle Line
The Circle Line, the Circle line
Why would you take the circle line?
It goes around and around
But actually it doesn't.
You have to transfer.
Apparently it doesn't really mean a circle.
The Circle line is yellow
So that means it's not the Center
District, Piccadilly, or Northern line
At least with those you know where you're going.
Unless you're me.
Then you're lost.
But really.
All of those are a lot faster.
The circle line takes so long
Most men need to shave when they get off
Why is it so slow?
On most lines
You can figure out where to get off easily
Take the train east or west
You'll get where you're going.
But with the circle line!
Go on it and you might end up
On some other line you didn't want.
You might end up on District
Or Hammersmith.
And then you'll be really lost.
Circle line tends to be late
I know because I found a website that said so.
It's got a lot of popular stops on it
So everyone wants to crowd in.
There is no personal space.
The circle line is so awful
That I won't even make this poem rhyme.
The end.
I like your ode. It made me giggle and disturb all of the hard work we are doing.
ReplyDeleteIf the Circle line is down and the Central iine isn't running, does that mean the underground's tubes are tied?
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Becca, I think that could be a yes :)
